Making sure that our local officers have the resources they need to be successful is critical to the mission of the OAPFF. On March 24 and 25, 2025, the OAPFF will conduct its New Officer Training Academy.

Classes will include:

• Overview of OAPFF Services
• IAFF Services Review
• Local Governance
• Duties of the President, Secretary-Treasurer, and Trustees
• State Employment Relations Board (SERB), Mediation, and Unfair Labor Practices
• Benefits of the OAPFF 457 Plan
• Representing our Members; Rights, Discipline, Grievances
• Bureau of Work Comp and Pension Disability Review
